Estimator Power & Utilities UK (Hybrid / Flexible North West) Upto 70k Base Salary benefits Were supporting a growing power connections business that delivers projects across the UK. Theyre looking for an Estimator whos comfortable building pricing for civil and electrical works in the power networks space ideally up to 132kV. This isnt a general construction estimating role. Youll need to understand how things work in a DNO / IDNO / ICP environment and be familiar with electrical systems associated with connections substations and cabling. The role Youll take ownership of pricing reviewing drawings pulling together quotations and helping build tender submissions clearly and accurately. Youll work closely with internal teams as well as suppliers and subcontractors to make sure budget assumptions are realistic and transparent. What youll be doing Preparing cost estimates for civil & electrical packages within power projects (substations / cabling / compounds etc.) Reviewing drawings scope & tender documents Producing BOQs and breakdowns Sourcing / assessing supplier & subcontractor quotes Pulling together tender submissions & inclusions / exclusions Attending pre-bid meetings client discussions where helpful Updating forecasts if design or scope shifts Contributing to risk tracking and compliance Supporting cost handover post-award Must-haves Experience working within DNO / IDNO / ICP environments Understanding of electrical systems (HV / LV substations cabling) Ability to interpret drawings & technical docs Estimating experience civil and / or electrical Comfortable working with suppliers & internal teams Strong Excel estimating tools Full UK driving licence If you dont have DNO / IDNO / ICP experience this wont be the right fit.
