Blackburn, United Kingdom Assystem Full time

Assystem Blackburn, England, United Kingdom Assystem Blackburn, England, United Kingdom 1 month ago – Be among the first 25 applicants. Assystem is an international company with one mission: accelerate the energy transition around the world. Every day, our 8,000+ switchers located in 12 countries (Europe, Middle East, Pacific Asia & Africa) connect their six thousand billion neurons to tackle the task of the century: switching to low‑carbon energy. We are a collective committed to making the energy switch. Sharing our knowledge, expertise and values allows us to innovate and think differently about the energy transition. Job Description Our two-year Graduate Programme is designed to accelerate your career — giving you exposure to live projects, expert mentorship, and the chance to make a real impact from day one. Access to mentors and technical experts – learn directly from industry leaders. Peer‑to‑peer learning through Graduate Forums – connect, collaborate, and grow together. A tailored upskilling framework – develop both your technical and professional skills. Rotations across industries, customers, and locations – broaden your perspective and experience. Over the two-year self‑directed journey, you’ll gain a unique insight into the nuclear industry. You’ll begin with broad exposure across teams and customers, before progressing into more discipline‑focused work that aligns with your ambitions. Expect variety, challenge, and growth—all while contributing to some of the UK’s most significant energy projects. Qualifications We’re seeking graduates (or soon to graduate) with a BEng / MEng in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic or Power Engineering (or a closely related discipline) who are eager to put theory into practice. What we’re looking for: Enjoy solving tough technical problems. Have a sharp eye for detail. Are curious about how digital design, control systems, and automation shape the future of energy. Have exposure (or interest) in CAD, BIM, AVEVA or similar tools. Communicate clearly and work well in teams. Are motivated to keep learning and grow toward Chartered Engineer status. Bonus points if you already have experience or coursework relevant to nuclear, power systems, or industrial control environments. Additional Information – Eligibility Requirements To join our Graduate Scheme, you must be a UK sole national and a UK resident, as this is required for the type of work we do. You’ll also need to be able to obtain a minimum of Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), with some roles requiring higher levels of clearance. As part of the programme, you should also be willing to relocate or travel within the UK, and we’ll provide relocation support where needed. More information on the security vetting process and clearance levels can be found on the UK Government website: National Security Vetting: clearance levels. Recruitment Process After submitting your application, you’ll receive confirmation of next steps. If successful at screening, one of our recruitment team will call you to discuss: Your application and eligibility. Your passion for energy transformation. Your interest in and knowledge of your chosen discipline. Successful applicants will then be invited to attend an in‑person assessment centre at one of our UK offices. Diversity & Inclusion We are committed to equal treatment of candidates and foster all forms of diversity within our company. Bringing together people with different backgrounds and perspectives is essential for creating innovative and impactful solutions. Skills, talent, and the ability to dare are what matter most. Bring your unique contributions and help us shape the future. #J-18808-Ljbffr
