Deputy Manager – Specialist Mental Health Care Home Full Time, 40 hours per week £47,840 per annum Derby About the Company Appoint Healthcare are proud to be partner with an extremely reputable, growing and forward-thinking leading national UK provider of health and social care services for adults with complex, severe and enduring mental health challenges. Together we are seeking a Nurse Qualified ( Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered Adult Nurse ) Deputy Manager for their 59 bed Dementia service. The service also supports a 21 Bed Mental Health and challenging behaviours Unit within their specialist care home, accommodating those with a primary diagnosis of a mental health issue that may present with challenging behaviours. About the Job Role Working alongside another Deputy Manager your duties are : To be responsible for supporting the Registered Manager with the overall management of the service. To ensure the highest quality of service is provided for our Service Users through their person-centred care plans and that all staff are encouraged and supported to achieve and exceed their full potential To ensure that all staff under your supervision have the right leadership, effective and efficient organisation, support, training and preparation to carry out their work effectively. To ensure that all staff under your supervision demonstrate Rushcliffe Care Group values, aims and objectives on a daily basis, striving to make a positive difference to the lives of those Service Users you support and the Unit environment. To ensure that all staff under your supervision contribute to providing a safe, well-structured environment in which Service Users are treated respectfully, decently and holistically. To plan, implement and evaluate appropriate nursing interventions for Service Users. To provide ongoing monitoring of care and service provision. To actively participate in clinical team meetings and other multi-disciplinary team meetings To ensure a high standard of nursing in the application of clinical nursing procedures and treatment, in accordance with the clinical governance and clinical effectiveness. Requirements Registered Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse ( RGN / RMN ) Clear NMC PIN without restriction Eligible to live and work in the UK ( British Passport or Biomteric Card ) Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience within mental health environment desirable. QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent Demonstrable values and a commitment to leading and supporting a diverse team of staff. Knowledge of health and safety matters in relation to hospital care services and risk management Strong communication skills The ability to develop and maintain a safe, harmonious environment for staff and residents. Experience in building positive working relationships with patients, their families, staff and other health and social care professionals.
