Internal Job Title: Junior Cloud Engineer - Data & AnalyticsBusiness: Lucy Group LtdLocation: OxfordJob Reference No: 4380 Job Purpose To work collaboratively with Power BI Developers, Data Pipeline Analysts, Service Management Teams and Business Users to support the development, maintenance and evolution of a Microsoft-based platform for data and analytics. Job Context Working closely with solutions architects and development teams to maintain and support the provision of enterprise data & analytics for business users. Evolving data & analytics global services, predominantly using Microsoft Cloud technologies and Power Platform tools, with particular focus on data quality, reliability and accessibility assessment. Job Dimensions An occasional need to visit other sites or business partners at their premises for stakeholder engagement or to attend specific industry events, globally. Hybrid/Home Working associated with other UK offices may be available, subject to business requirements. Key Accountabilities Supporting the rationalisation and integration of multiple data sources into a secure, adaptive, "evergreen" technology ecosystem. Maintaining security, reliability and appropriate architecture design according to company policies. Assist in performing functional testing of data flows, dashboards and reports including data validation against business rules and quality standards. Facilitating cloud-based configuration to enable users to gain insights from data, measured by assessment of business outcomes. Maintaining operational and customer‑facing documentation for technical support processes and defined project deliverables. Inputting into the continuous assessment of new features and components to support the future‑proofing and onward compatibility of the production environment, by evolving the knowledge base. Troubleshooting production issues and coordinate with others to resolve incidents and complete tasks using IT Service Management tools, as part of a cross‑functional team. Qualifications, Experience & Skills Effective communication skills in the global Business Language, English. Experience working with Microsoft Azure toolsets and compute services as a Junior Cloud Engineer role or similar. Confidence in Exploratory Data Analysis to evaluate data quality and functional testing techniques, provide key business insights, and identify areas for further investigation. Competence to create well‑formed supporting documentation and follow project management process. Ability to carry out Business as Usual support (BAU) for data & analytics services while working on projects and technical workstreams at the same time. General understanding of a company’s "value chain" and basic manufacturing industry terminology. Working knowledge of PowerShell, Python, MS SQL or similar language. Basic familiarity with Power BI, Fabric, M365 administration, Copilot, MS DevOps and branching concepts. Behavioural Competencies Good interpersonal skills to enable process improvement through positive interaction with others. Keen problem solver with desire to share knowledge.
