Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias)

📍 Location: Hull
💷 Salary: Competitive, plus generous overtime and shift allowances
🕒 Shifts: 6:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00 (Rotating)
📅 Hours: 40 per week + 1 in 2 Saturdays (1.5x pay)
🎄 Extras: 2 Weeks Off at Christmas, 30 Days Holiday (incl. Bank Hols)
🛠️ Type: Full-time, Permanent

✅ The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is a hands-on role maintaining a variety of production equipment, including:

Conveyors, belts, bearings

Fryers, coating and processing machinery

Sealers and packaging equipment

Basic electrical fault finding (single & 3-phase systems)

You will be joining a small, tight-knit engineering team reporting to the Engineering Manager.

🧰 What We're Looking For

Time-served apprenticeship (mechanical/electrical)

Strong mechanical experience with working knowledge of electrical systems

Ability to fault find and rewire basic electrical components

A proactive attitude and strong team fit

Previous experience in FMCG, food production, or manufacturing is a plus

Full training will be provided for candidates with a solid engineering foundation and the right attitude. You'll be supported by a team of experienced engineers and offered future development opportunities.

📦 Shift & Work Pattern

Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

1 in 2 Saturdays (paid at enhanced rate)

Optional Sunday overtime
