You can expect a journey outlined with clear goals and aspirations shared by the whole business whilst building cross-collaborative relationships including the opportunity to work with our Founder; Tom Joule, and his Senior Team who have a wealth of knowledge to share.Step into the role of Joules Designer - Sweats, Fleeces and Nightwear (12 Month Fixed Term Contract).Discover an exciting opportunity to take on an integral role here at Joules Head Office.Your role of Designer - Sweats, Fleeces and Nightwear sits within our friendly and creative Design department.To ensure that the designs for your product area are representative of the latest fashion trends whilst reflecting the Joules brand in order to meet the expectations of our customers.ResponsibilitiesManage effectively your team, resources and workload in order to achieve efficiently your department’s business strategy. This will involve controlling set budgets, prioritising workflow and conducting regular team reviews to ensure deadlines and targets are met.Delegate tasks effectively to ensure the workload is appropriately and fairly distributed amongst the team.Motivate your team to ensure they maximise performance levels.Plan and create a vision for your product area and make proposals to your Line Manager and product teams.Identify new areas of potential business and put forward proposals to your Line Manager and product teams.Use your knowledge of existing and potential suppliers to assist with the evaluation of the supplier base in relation to the production of your product range.Work with technology to assess the most effective method of producing your design prototypes and make recommendations to your Line Manager and product team.Produce mood boards to reflect key design influences and the overall vision for your department, in order to sell the looks, moods, colours etc to the product teams.Work with Buying, garment Tech and suppliers to ensure the prototypes reflect your designs and meet the required standards.Regularly review the effectiveness/impact of your designs through, analysing trading information, regular contact with the stores and with the product teams to leverage this knowledge to inform future proposals.About youTo really shine within the role of Designer - Sweats, Fleeces and Nightwear you must be able to work flexibly and at pace with a passion for the Fashion industry.
