CNC Machine Shop Operator

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Machine Shop Operator to join our growing team. What you’ll be responsible for Operate CNC Lathes and Machining Centres plus some conventional machines as requested and ensure cycle times and outputs are achieved to the correct quality standard, Report failings. Complete detailed quality checks against issued dimensional drawings using measuring equipment, verniers, micrometers and gauges etc and record measurements on the relevant check sheets. Recognise, identify and report all quality defects and equipment failures. Ensure all completed work is sent to the stores with any empty trays for that particular part, daily for booking in. Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with any work instructions / procedures. Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are completed as required. Maintain good communications and relationships throughout the company. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements. Maintain a clean, safe working environment and good housekeeping standards and ensure 5S standards are maintained. For this role we would need you to demonstrate Previous experience working with CNC machinery (essential). Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy. Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to safety and quality standards. Knowledge of safe brass handling practices preferred.
