Join to apply for the Consultant Radiographer - Breast role at NHS Ayrshire & Arran.Location: Highland Breast Centre, Raigmore Hospital, Inverness.Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time.Salary: Band 8B.We are seeking the first Consultant Radiographer in Breast to lead expert care for patients with or at risk of breast disease. The successful candidate will assess and diagnose patients, manage an independent caseload, and participate in continuous professional development within a multidisciplinary team comprising Consultant Surgeons, Consultant Radiologists and Advanced Practitioner Specialist Radiographers.Key responsibilities:Assess, diagnose and manage patients with breast disease.Maintain a caseload and work independently and collaboratively.Deliver continuous professional development and best practice.Key qualifications:HCPC registered radiographer.Postgraduate Masters level qualification including:Mammography.Mammographic film interpretation.Breast ultrasound.Interventional breast procedures.A minimum of 3 years of advanced practice in multiple areas of breast imaging.We seek a well organised, detail-oriented candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to make difficult decisions.Contact: Kirstie Still, Superintendent Radiographer (kirstie.still@nhs.scot) or Dr Nicola Spence, Consultant Radiologist (nicola.spence3@nhs.scot).Job Reference: 232304.
