Join the University of Southampton Auditory Implant Service (USAIS) as a Rehabilitationist and make a meaningful impact in the lives of cochlear implant and auditory implant users. You will have a unique opportunity to further your career by using your clinical skills within a University setting allowing you to access up-to-date research in this field. As a Rehabilitationist, you will play a vital role in helping patients adapt to and optimise their auditory implants. Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you’ll provide specialist rehabilitation, guiding patients through their hearing journey. Your key responsibilities will include: Delivering tailored rehabilitation programmes for cochlear and bone conduction implant recipients Assessing patient progress and adjusting therapy strategies accordingly Providing education and support to patients, families, and caregivers Collaborating with audiologists, rehabilitationists, and other professionals to enhance outcomes Contributing to research and teaching opportunities within the university setting What We’re Looking For Experience in rehabilitation for individuals with auditory implants or hearing loss (training will also be provided) HCPC or RCSLT or equivalent professional registration Strong communication skills and a patient‑focused approach Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team Working at the University of Southampton Check out the staff benefits and why you should join us at The University of Southampton We offer a range of great benefits that includes a contributory pension scheme; holiday entitlement of 30 days plus 8 bank holidays and 6 additional holidays (closure days); subsidised health and fitness facilities on‑site; cycle to work scheme; a range of discounts which include restaurants, retail outlets and entertainment.
