Experienced Cocktail Bar Manager or Bartender – Full Time & Part Time Roles Doghouse Distillery was established in 2016 and is born and bred in Battersea, London. Proudly London’s only multi-category grain‑to‑bottle distillery, we are one of the few distilleries that make our base spirit from scratch. The distillery took over 12 months to build and commission and we released our first spirit into the UK market in September 2017. Job Summary We are operating a "pop up" bar in Clapham Common this Xmas and New Year to showcase our brands. We are looking for an experienced Bar Manager and/or experienced Cocktail Bartenders who bring great energy, strong technical skills and a genuine love of hospitality. You’ll be part of the opening team, delivering consistent, spec‑perfect drinks, fast and friendly service, and helping shape the atmosphere from day one. We are interviewing over the next few days and looking for candidates available to start immediately. Culture Guest‑first, friendly and ego‑free Craft‑focused: specs, precision and clean stations Fast‑paced but supportive, with strong teamwork Professional, respectful and safe working environment Local mindset with genuine pride in the neighbourhood Training, tastings and growth opportunities Responsibilities Prepare cocktails and drinks to spec with accuracy and speed Deliver welcoming, upbeat guest service at all times Maintain a clean, organised and efficient bar station Support service flow, restocking and prep throughout shifts Follow opening and closing procedures consistently Handle guest enquiries and resolve small issues confidently Assist with tastings, product knowledge and distillery‑led experiences Work closely with the Team / Bar Manager to uphold standards and team culture Requirements Proven experience in a cocktail‑focused bar Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits and bar techniques Reliable, punctual and consistent in fast‑paced environments Must be a local candidate with good understanding of the area Must have checkable references – applications without these will not be considered Positive attitude, sense of fun and commitment to clean, fast, detailed work Evening and weekend availability required Experience working in new openings Interest in distillery‑led products and spirits education Confidence with guest engagement and upselling What you’ll get Above market hourly pay depending on experience + tips Potential to move into a permanent role with the company for the right candidate Staff drinks and product discounts Training, tastings and development opportunities A supportive team environment focused on craft and high standards The chance to be part of a London "Distillery Bar" How to apply Apply by emailing ryan@doghousedistillery.com with your CV, availability and references.
