In collaboration with Summers-Inman, our recently acquired multi-disciplinary consultancy, you will help drive the integration of expertise, culture, and capability to deliver best-in-class Building Surveying services. You’ll take the lead on key client relationships, oversee the delivery of multi-sector projects, and provide strategic and operational leadership to our growing BS teams. This is an opportunity to shape the future of our consultancy business and influence how we deliver value to some of the UK’s most vital sectors.ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate an understanding of overall project requirements and the ability to advise clients knowledgably on Building Surveying.Experience in multiple public and private sectors, including Universities, School, Healthcare, Local Government, Utilities & Industrial.Experience in the production of specifications and schedules of works for refurbishment and extension scheme projects.Contract administration services including pre and post contract services.Project management experience to monitor the progress of works onsite, including management of multi-disciplinary design teams.Building surveys and defect diagnosis experience.Monitoring all work executed, at all stages, to ensure that an accurate and professional service is offered.Professional experience in party wall and dilapidations would be preferred, but not a requirement.Knowledge and experience using AutoCAD.Drive quality and governance standards across all commercial processes.Support business development through bidding, proposals, and client presentations, playing a visible role in the growth of the consultancy.Lead on innovation and the implementation of digital tools and enhancing client insight.What does it take?Chartered MRICS Building Surveyor with significant experience working for a consultancy.Experience delivering projects across a broad range of sectors, with a strong emphasis on project delivery experience, in addition to surveys, dilapidations and party wall.Supporting the senior leadership team within Summers-Inman.Commercially astute with strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.Mentor and develop BS team members across Summers Inman and Bellrock Consulting, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, performance, and continuous improvement.Confidence and experience as a client-facing project lead.Client-focused and relationship-driven with the ability to develop new business opportunities.Collaborative, proactive, and strategic thinker.Full UK driving licence.Working arrangementsWe embrace smarter working practices which offer our employees the opportunity to work their hours flexibly and remotely where their roles and business needs allow. In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work from 6 Thorpe Way, Leicester LE19 1SU and Home Based.
