Commercial Quantity Surveyor Blackburn

As a result of successful company growth, we are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team.About the roleOur commercial team interact with all departments to ensure our projects are delivered on time and to budget. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor at Vital Energi you will work closely with our project teams to manage key commercial activities.Key responsibilitiesWork in partnership with site management, commercially supporting sites as required, to develop a proactive site team. Ensuring that contractual obligations are identified and administered.Vet contract documentation on receipt from Client to ensure compatibility with the Company’s Tender and subsequent negotiationsProduce Commercial Risk Register for each contract. Monitor risk and assist in implementation of agreed mitigation measuresPrepare and issue enquiries for Major Plant & Equipment and Sub-Contract packages. Vet quotations commercially and negotiate price and terms with vendors. Issue resultant Purchase OrdersPrepare and submit Applications for Payment and/or Invoices, obtain Payment Certificates and progress Client Payments in accordance with contractual provisionsMeasure, submit and agree Variations, Loss & Expense and/or Compensation Events in accordance with contractual provisions to facilitate prompt agreement of Final AccountsMonitor on-site record keeping. Prepare and issue Notices in accordance with contractual provisionsPrepare and submit monthly Cost Value Reconciliations and Cash/Spend Profiles. Attend Contract Review MeetingsAuthorisation and coding of Suppliers’ and Sub-Contractors’ Invoices and submission to Finance for paymentMeasure, certify and agree Sub-Contractors interim valuations and final accounts.
