Job Description Job Title: Fire Risk AssessorLocation: Chelmsford, Essex.Salary / Benefits: £30k – £45k + Training + BenefitsLevel of Experience: Trainee Fire Risk Assessor through to Lead Fire Risk Assessor Profile: Our client is a leading Health and Safety specialist consultancy, providing high quality services to both commercial and residential clients across the UK. They are looking for a hardworking and competent Fire Risk Assessor based in and around the Chelmsford area. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience carrying out fire risk assessments on both commercial and residential properties in line with relevant Health and Safety legislation and will hold the NEBOSH Fire certificate. Eligible Locations: Bromley, Bexleyheath, Croydon, Dartford, Maidstone, Orpington, Rochester, Sevenoaks, Sidcup, South London, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Basildon, Billericay, Braintree, Brentwood, Carney Island, Colchester, Chelmsford, Dagenham, Grays, Rainham, Rayleigh, Rochford, Romford, Southend‑on‑Sea, Stanford‑le‑hope, Wickford, Witham, Aylesbury, Bedford, Bishop’s Stortford, Enfield, Harlow, Hemel Hempstead, Hertford, Hitchin, Luton, Milton Keynes, North London, St Albans, Stevenage, Watford. Experience and Qualifications Must hold the NEBOSH Fire certificate or NEBOSH Fire Conversion Technical status with recognised bodies. Ideally have a good consultancy, technical, and health & safety background within the fire industry. Must have in‑depth knowledge and experience of conducting fire risk assessments on a range of sites. Must have working knowledge of relevant Health & Safety procedures. Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient in using Microsoft Office. The Role Undertaking fire and health and safety risk assessments. Setting out fire plan drawings, fire drills, fire wardens, and use of fire extinguishers. Conducting real fire training, briefing, and delivering training courses. Managing and developing the company’s client base. Providing fire and safety guidance. Investigating incidents accordingly. Producing fire risk assessments and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant fire Health & Safety legislation. Building and maintaining good working relationships with clients and dealing with issues accordingly. Additional Information Alternative Job titles: Fire risk assessor, Environmental Risk Assessor, Health and safety assessor. The successful candidate will bring excellent technical experience in the fire risk industry, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and be prepared to travel extensively as per client requirements.
