We welcome candidates with qualifications in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering and experience across different levels: Junior roles: Plant Engineer, CAD Engineer, Power Systems Engineer, Project Engineer, Cables Engineer, Protection Engineer, Project Manager (2-3 years industry experience)Mid/Senior roles: Project Managers, Power Systems Engineer, Network Engineer, Connections Engineer This is a fantastic opportunity to work on major projects connecting large factories and power stations to our extra high voltage networks, playing a critical part in the UK's decarbonisation and Clean Power 2030 initiative. As a Connections Business Development Engineer, you will be a key enabler in helping our customers transition to a low‑carbon economy through the deployment of flexible connection solutions that utilise new and emerging technologies and commercial arrangements. Along with a competitive salary of between £53,711 - £73,451 we also offer great benefits such as; 25 days holiday (rising with service) plus bank holidaysExcellent opportunities for career growth Key Responsibilities Deliver quotation services for EHV connections on time and within licence requirementsManage the EHV customer experience and relationship from first approach to final connectionEngage with customers to develop innovative and flexible connection solutions supporting the transition to a low‑carbon economyEnsure compliance with regulatory and charging policiesInterpret technical appraisal documentation and create effective contractsManage commercial and legal documentation for connections contractsOversee project financial governance and closure routinesStrong written and spoken communication skillsAbility to deliver high‑quality documentation in a commercial environmentBuild and maintain exceptional customer relationshipsSound decision‑making and effective team working Qualifications and Attributes HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalentFull UK driving licenceDegree or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics EngineeringExperience in the electricity industry (connections) regulated environmentLegal and contract law experience Visit northernpowergrid.com/careers to find out more about this and other career opportunities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
