You will be required to work collaboratively in a safe, caring and respectful way. Position: Principal Clinical Psychologist based at Rainbow House, Ayrshire Central Hospital. What you will do: This post will deliver sessions to our Community Paediatric Service, including highly specialist psychological interventions and complex neurodevelopmental assessment. You will contribute to the specialist clinical psychology requirements of the multidisciplinary Community Paediatric Service and offer specialist case and therapeutic supervision to fellow clinicians. The successful candidate will also contribute to audit and research activity within the Community Paediatric Psychology Service. Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job: BPS approved postgraduate degree in Clinical Psychology or BPS Statement of Equivalence Registration with HCPC as a Practitioner Clinical Psychologist. Trainee Clinical Psychologists would not be expected to be HCPC registered at the point of applying for the post but would need to have attained registration before they would be eligible to commence the post. We would welcome interest from recently qualified Clinical Psychologists, as well as final year trainees on a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology Programme. Hours: 37 hours per week Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm pattern. Variation in this pattern, including compressed hours, will be considered. UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership: A UK car licence/car ownership is essential to this role.
