Female Waking Night Support Worker

Looking for a new challenge? We are looking for a Waking Nights Support Worker to join our service in Seaton, Devon. The role is 37.5 hours per week at a rate of £12.50 per hour. For genuine occupational reasons we are looking to appoint a female candidate only (exemption under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9). Our Service Our residential service is located in Seaton, Devon. With the seafront just a few minutes’ walk away, we have access to lovely gardens and local cafés. Here we support individuals to live the life they choose, including beach access, strolls along the seafront, and coffee at a favourite café. You will support six adults with learning disabilities, providing real‑life experiences and opportunities to live fulfilling lives and to take part in activities that bring them joy. Your workdays will be Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10pm to 8am. This is a hands‑on waking night role involving lone working, with a staff member sleeping in for emergencies only. We’re looking for enthusiastic applicants who are: Positive, with a can‑do attitude. Caring and empathetic. Passionate about enhancing other people’s lives. Willing to attend training as needed to support your role. Some BSL knowledge or a willingness to learn is desirable for this role. Responsibilities Support people with everyday tasks such as cooking and cleaning. Assist with personal care and hygiene. Help manage finances. Support medication and wellbeing. Accompany clients to the community for shopping or other trips. Facilitate social life and nightlife. Everyday you will help people with complex disabilities lead an independent life.
