This SEN Teaching Assistant position is a full-time, long-term opportunity working 1:1 with a child in EYFS, starting ASAP or January 2026. The school in Havering, London is looking for a caring, motivated, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant who can provide consistent support, build positive relationships, and help the child thrive within the classroom. While experience is preferred, the school is very open to graduates who are passionate about working with children or pursuing a career in education. Key Details Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Havering, London Start Date: ASAP or January 2026 Pay Rate: £89-£110 per day (depending on experience) Contract: Full-time, long-term Year Group: EYFS (1:1 support) Teacher training available from September 2026 Responsibilities Support the learning, development, and well-being of a child in EYFS with additional needs Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies Create an encouraging and inclusive environment Help promote independence, confidence, and positive learning habits Contribute to the wider school community in Havering, London Receive excellent education and training opportunities This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or a committed graduate keen to build a meaningful career in education.
