About CTI Join 150+ strategists and specialists who refuse to settle, creating bold digital experiences for ambitious brands since 2004. We're a full-service digital agency delivering strategic consultancy, web development, and digital marketing to drive demand online. Using over two decades of industry experience, we provide next‑gen solutions as part of lasting partnerships with hundreds of clients from Chester Zoo and Zip World to Balfour Beatty and Mind. What makes us different We break new ground. You'll work on innovative projects using the latest technologies before they hit the mainstream. You'll have dedicated time and budget for development, working alongside industry experts who are genuinely invested in your success. We own it. Full accountability and autonomy over your work means you'll build client relationships, see real‑world impact, and be recognised when you go the extra mile. The Team You’ll be joining our dynamic data function, sitting at the intersection of technical engineering and actionable business intelligence. We're the minds behind the metrics, responsible for architecting the robust data pipelines that fuel our clients' growth and performance. We stay curious by constantly exploring new technologies like BigQuery and cutting‑edge ETL tools, and we get stuck in by collaborating closely with our strategy, development, and marketing teams to turn raw data into transparent, high‑impact insights. If you love the challenge of clean data, rock‑solid infrastructure, and delivering the evidence that proves client success, you’ll fit right in. What you’ll be doing As the Analytics Engineer at CTI Digital, you'll be the architect of our data flow, ensuring that every piece of client data is collected, transformed, and reported with precision and compliance. You’ll be delivering the technical foundations for all our web analytics and business intelligence work. Key Responsibilities Implement and manage Google Tag Manager setups across multiple high‑value client websites to support accurate data collection. Configure and maintain core analytics platforms like Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and potentially others like Piwik Pro or Adobe Analytics. Ensure data governance and compliance by managing consent tracking, cookie capture, and adherence to data privacy best practices (like GDPR) using tools such as One Trust or Cookiebot. Build compelling dashboards and reports in tools like Looker Studio, Power BI, or Tableau, delivering key insights on web traffic and performance. Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines (e.g., acquisition BigQuery Looker Studio) to ensure reliable data flow for reporting. Manage data warehousing, including defining and optimiser data schemas and staging tables for efficiency and reliability. Collaborate with analysts to prepare clean, high‑quality datasets that translate user behaviour and marketing performance into insight‑rich dashboards. Debug and troubleshoot tracking issues and liaise with development teams to fix any data collection problems. What experience you need to be successful To thrive in this role, you’ll need to get stuck in with the technical build, stay curious about analytics trends, and own it when it comes to data quality. Key experience and expertise includes Deep hands‑on experience with Google Tag Manager and administering platforms like Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Familiarity with data visualisation and Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Looker Studio, Power BI, or Tableau. A clear understanding of data privacy and experience managing cookie consent platforms (e.g., One Trust, Cookiebot). Strong expertise in SQL—it's essential for working with and optimising data warehouses. Proven experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines, whether custom or using tools like dbt, Fivetran, or Airbyte. Experience with BigQuery or other major cloud‑based data warehouses. An adaptable, organised, and detail‑oriented mindset capable of managing multiple projects and complex data schemas. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data concepts into clear requirements and insights for technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
