Job Title: Hygiene CoordinatorLocation: Newport, North HumbersidePay: £14.50 per hourShift: Monday - Friday, 06:00am - 14:00pm A major European horticultural supplier supporting some of the UK's biggest retail brands is seeking a proactive Hygiene Coordinator to maintain exceptional hygiene, safety, and compliance standards across a busy, fast-paced operation. This is a key role within a high-volume, quality-driven environment where cleanliness and compliance are essential for operational success. What You'll Be Responsible For As the Hygiene Coordinator, you will take ownership of site-wide hygiene standards, ensuring the facility always meets internal, customer, and regulatory expectations. Your role will include: Managing daily and weekly hygiene schedules across production and non-production areas. Overseeing cleaning teams and ensuring all tasks follow set SOPs and compliance frameworks. Supporting internal and external audits with accurate documentation, records, and corrective actions. Leading the safe use, handling, and storage of chemicals, including COSHH compliance. Training and guiding staff to maintain a culture of cleanliness, safety, and continuous improvement. Ensuring hygiene equipment and materials are maintained, used correctly, and replenished as needed. What We're Looking For Proven background in hygiene coordination, hygiene management, or similar supervisory roles. (preferably from food-based or hygiene critical industries) Experience within food production, pharmaceuticals, horticulture, or other environments requiring strict hygiene controls. Strong knowledge of audit preparation, hygiene compliance, and accurate record-keeping. Confident in leading teams, enforcing standards, and improving site hygiene practices. This position is central to maintaining product quality, operational efficiency, and a safe working environment.
