Overview Are you a Senior Electrical Design Engineer looking for a new Challenge? Belcan then has the role for you Belcan are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead and support the design, integration, and delivery of electrical systems for Gas Turbine Packages and to support and mentor Graduates and colleagues. This role is based at the Belcan Office in Runcorn, on a Hybrid working model. Responsibilities The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will lead the electrical design and integration of gas turbine packages, including control systems, power distribution, instrumentation, and auxiliary systems as well as being involved with other electrical projects. They will develop and review schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings using CAD tools. As well as specifying and selecting electrical components, including switchgear, caballing, sensors, and control panels. Qualifications and Experience Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or experience in industrial electrical engineering, preferably in gas turbines, rotating equipment, or energy systems Power Systems: LV/MV switchgear Instrumentation: Selection and integration of pressure, temperature, flow, and vibration sensors Hazardous Area Design: ATEX or IECEx or NEC compliance Integration of vendor packages Cable Engineering: Cable sizing, routing, and tray design for industrial applications Standards & Codes: IEC, NEC, IEEE, API 616/614, BS EN standards Documentation Tools: Microsoft Office Suite, engineering databases, and ERP systems You must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance for this role What’s in it for you We offer a competitive base salary, work/life balance, continuous personal development and training, Pension Scheme, Private Medical Insurance, Life assurance, 25 days of holiday + 8 days Statutory Holidays, 24/7 mental health hotline / online GP, discounted gym membership, virtual physio / gym classes, access to nutritional advice, discounted eye care, and free financial advice service.
