MOT Tester Technician – 5 days a week, Monday to Friday HiQ Tyres & Autocare has an exciting new opportunity for a MOT Tester Technician to join the team in our Henley Centre. The role is full‑time, permanent, and offers a negotiable salary based on experience. Responsibilities Work on all makes and models of vehicles Perform diagnostics, servicing, and repairs Handle brakes, tyres, and wheel alignment Inspect vehicle components, including brakes, lights, steering, and exhaust systems Conduct MOT tests on various types of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal requirements Use hand tools and power tools effectively for necessary repairs or adjustments Document test results accurately and provide feedback to vehicle owners regarding any issues found Stay updated on changes in MOT regulations and testing procedures Maintain health and safety standards, working within company guidelines and safe working practices Complete job cards, maintenance records, and associated paperwork to a high standard Undertake any additional duties (within reason) for efficient store operation Carry out administration duties and assist with regular stock checks in accordance with company policy Qualifications Experience within a fast‑fit car centre or a recognised vehicle franchise dealership Strong mechanical knowledge with hands‑on experience using hand tools and power tools Valid MOT Tester licence is essential Vehicle technician qualification and relevant experience Full driver’s licence with no more than 9 points Benefits Family‑like work culture with training and career opportunities Uncapped monthly bonus structure Generous employee discounts on all HiQ Group services Training courses for EV & Hybrid, MOT Testing Licence, and REACT Training Company sick pay Refer a friend scheme 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays Ad hoc incentives and industry‑related days out Reward Gateway – massive discounts on groceries, high street retailers and more HiQ Tyres & Autocare is owned by Goodyear, a well‑known and respected brand in the automotive industry.
