Position Senior Neurology Research Nurse – Neurology Research Team, Neurosciences Department, St George’s Hospital. Overview The post holder will coordinate and manage the Neurology Research team at St George’s Hospital, working collaboratively with the Clinical Research Matron/Head of Research Nursing and the wider multidisciplinary team to manage a portfolio of clinical trials. They will be accountable for achieving local and national targets, ensuring all research safeguards patient well‑being and complies with Good Clinical Practice Guidelines. The role requires expert leadership, support for patients throughout trials, and the ability to advise and empower patients to make informed choices. Flexibility to move between clinical specialties within the remit of their qualifications is also required. Key Responsibilities Co‑ordination and management of the Neurology team and research portfolio. Set‑up, recruitment to, and coordination of early and late phase clinical trials. Shared line management and training of research staff. Assessing and managing care pathways for patients participating in clinical trials and studies. Work closely with Principal Investigators to establish and further develop Neurology research. Promote research excellence in Neurology, including Multiple Sclerosis, migraine, motor neurone disease, Parkinson’s and other conditions. The sites include St George’s Hospital, one of 11 major trauma centres in the UK and the largest healthcare provider and major teaching hospital in the area; St Helier Hospital, home to the South West Thames Renal and Transplantation Unit and Queen Mary’s Hospital for Children; and Epsom Hospital, home to the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC).
