About the Role Our client is looking for a talented Contentious Trust and Probate Solicitor to join their Private Client team. You'll handle a broad caseload, including Wills, Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Probate and contentious inheritance matters, with the chance to develop your expertise on complex issues. Key Responsibilities Manage a diverse portfolio of private client and contentious probate matters from instruction to completion Draft wills and prepare lasting powers of attorney Handle estate administration, trusts, and inheritance disputes Conduct client meetings in person, including home visits Maintain the highest standards of client care and service What We’re Looking For Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years’ post‑qualification experience (PQE) in Private Client law Proven experience in contentious probate and trusts (UK practice essential) STEP qualification or working towards (preferred) Member of the Association of Lifetime Lawyers (preferred) Excellent communication, client care, and organisational skills Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally Genuine enthusiasm for private client work and career progression Benefits & Working Environment Competitive salary (£45,000–£55,000 DOE) Full‑time role preferred; part‑time considered for the right candidate Hybrid working options available Comprehensive benefits package including pension, private medical insurance, and professional subscriptions Supportive, knowledgeable team with regular training and mentoring Opportunities for career advancement and progression into senior roles Connections to a wide network of professionals in the field Travel expenses reimbursed for client visits Career Progression Benefit from a clear pathway for professional development, with access to complex cases, mentoring, and the ability to progress into senior or specialist roles within the firm.
