As a UK Top Employer with an award-winning training programme, we know that we can teach you the skills you'll need to succeed.Whether you're looking for a long-term career or just some extra shifts, if you're reliable, friendly, and love working as part of a team - this role could be perfect for you.What's in it for you?Competitive rate of pay (£12.31)A free meal and a drink, when working20% discount on all food, drinks, and hotel accommodation (for you and up to three guests), when not working£1 extra per hour, for hours worked during midnight-5.59amBonus scheme - earn up to 19% of your payAvailability of guaranteed-hours contracts and variable-hours contractsPaid holidayFree shares (after a qualifying period)Loyalty reward schemeThe roleAt a glance, your role is to work as part of a team to serve food and drinks to the correct specification, working efficiently, all while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service.Our pubs open early and close late, so we offer great flexibility with shift patterns, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and late finishes.Duties IncludeTaking orders, preparing, dispensing, and serving drinks to the correct spec, whether at the bar or via the customer appDelivering food to customers, ensuring that check-backs are completed and clearing plates within the required timeframeProviding friendly customer interactions: say 'hello', thank customers, and build rapportBeing knowledgeable about promotions, events, and new productsMaintaining our 'clean as you go' standards, including clearing tables, wiping surfaces, and carrying out toilet checksWorking in all areas, including glass-washing, restocking fridges, floor, and beer garden clearing, and other duties, as neededProgression and developmentMost Wetherspoon team leaders and managers started in the kitchen or behind the bar.
