Harrow Full time / Permanent £32,455 - £50,000 Our college has excellent facilities for the delivery of our Electrical Installation courses. We are seeking a full time Electrical Installation Lecturer to join our team, based at Harrow Weald campus, to teach on a range of programmes including City and Guilds and EAL. You will be qualified to Level 3 in Electrical Installation (NVQ), together with 18th edition wiring regulations C&G 2382-22. You will have experience gained within the electrical installation industry, including experience of electro-technical systems and experience with AM2 assessment. The main purpose of the job is to ensure the retention and achievement of students through the delivery of good practice in teaching and learning. The Lecturer will teach, develop and improve programmes of study in subjects and courses relevant to the post-holder’s knowledge, qualifications and experience. Qualifications: • Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in Electrical Installation (NVQ) • 18th edition wiring regulations C&G 2382-22 qualification • GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or equivalent or willing to achieve • Minimum Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (e.g. DET/Cert Ed**) or • willingness and ability to work towards a teaching qualification, supported by the College • Assessor award (CAVA or equivalent) or willing to obtain Knowledge and Experience: • Experience in the electrical installation industry • Teaching experience in the Further Education sector • Experience of assessing people in the workplace • An understanding of the Further Education sector, particularly the City and Guilds range of programmes • Experience in current electro-technical systems and experience with the AM2 assessment Other Skills: • Ability to enthuse and engage vocational learners aged 16-19 • Good communication skills, written and verbal • Good interpersonal skill • Good classroom practice • Ability to use IT within the curriculum We are dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment.
