Innovation Project Manager at Balfour Beatty plc About The Role Balfour Beatty has a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager to join our high-performing Innovation Power Transmission & Distribution (T&D) team. This role can be based from Derby or Maxim. You will have responsibility for key innovation projects including Smart Structures and Fulcrum air. Help Innovation Engineers to develop their projects to BAU by assisting with links to Ops Directors, Projects teams, Safety, PPE and ATS. To support in the development of business cases for various innovation projects as they are prepared for the investment committee. In Return We Offer You Competitive – DOE Excellent benefits including Company Car, Bonus, Pension and many other benefits Hours - 37.5 per week Hybrid working – 3 days in the office, 2 days at home What You’ll Be Doing Manage the interface between the innovation team and the operational staff and key external and internal partners through structured meetings, programme and progress reporting for your projects. Provide the appropriate programming, management and interfaces between business functions to ensure that milestones in all sections of the innovation delivery. Manage liaison with Ops Directors, projects, commercial, finance, supply chain managers, IT and safety to identify risks to achieve targets. Assist innovation engineers to develop innovations to BAU. Help innovation engineers to develop their business plans advising on all aspects of the plan to ensure high quality presentations to the Ops Board. Update and report progress of the innovation project at regular intervals to the Innovation manager and Technical Support Manager. Assist with the preparation of the monthly programme report and dashboards and associated supporting information. Instil a strong safety culture and develop the capability of our innovation team to take personal responsibility through strong visible leadership. Drive yourself and others to comply with all business policies, procedures and governance. Who We’re Looking For Proven experience at Management Level Experience of Management and Delivery of Overhead Line, Cabling or Substation schemes up to 400kV preferable.
