Lead multidisciplinary teams when appropriate. Assess and prioritise patient needs, delegating effectively. Determine required diagnostic tests and interpret results. Advise clinical staff on investigations and limitations. Deliver clinical care, conduct ward rounds and outpatient clinics. Oversee smooth running of the Pathology Department, planning workload and staffing. Supervise and teach junior staff. Carry out research and keep up to date with new information. Adhere to the NMC professional Code of Conduct. Qualifications / Licences / Certifications GMC registered doctor with full license to practice. FRCPath Part 2. Completion of higher training (CCT) or within 6 months of obtaining. For those without CCT, must demonstrate extensive prior consultant‑grade experience and FRCPath Part 2. Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship). Pass enhanced background check (DBS). Willing to work as PAYE only.
