This role provides the opportunity to gain practical experience in spearheading the tax affairs of a growing multinational business. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of direct and indirect tax for the Group, both UK and international. Reports to Group Finance Director. Principal Place of Work Based at the Portishead head office with the option of international travel to other A‑Gas sites. The role can be fully office based or hybrid working with Tuesday and Wednesday (or other weekdays as agreed from time to time) as a minimum in the office. Job Requirements Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications Relevant professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CTA, qualified by experience) University degree or equivalent Exposure to international transfer pricing requirements Exposure to international tax laws and regulations Experience of UK and overseas withholding taxes, and related accounting treatment Plans, organises and prioritises tasks appropriately, structuring own work efficiently. Can master detail but also able to step back to ensure the detail fits into wider business objectives Able to develop and document business procedures, consider and manage projects successfully and identify and manage risk responsibly Good communicator both in articulating particular issues they are facing, and in explaining issues to colleagues. Sound listening skills and someone who can take on board the views of others.
