Main duties of the job We are looking to support and develop the skills of pharmacy technicians to provide a varied range of services as well as some dispensary-based work. If you are interested in this post, you will need a minimum of NVQ level 3 in Pharmacy services and be a registered pharmacy technician. An accuracy checking pharmacy technician would be desirable. Job responsibilities To dispense, supply or administer medication including controlled drugs.Support the delivery of medicines management services, primary care, health,promotion and education. Person Specification BTEC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical services Appropriate accredited technican checking qualification Knowledge of medicines optimisation Pharmacy legal requirements and controlled drug legislation Knowledge of Pharmacy Computer systems Substance misuse knowledge Has good understanding of security issues in relation to prison Excellent verbal and communication skills Able to prepare reports and bulletins Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
