Post: Deputy Charge Nurse, Band 6, Full Time, Permanent, 37 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Forensic Acute Ward of Royal Cornhill Hospital for an enthusiastic registered mental health nurse who is keen to enhance/develop their management and clinical skills in a Deputy Charge Nurse position.
The post holder will contribute to providing high quality evidence-based care and support to clients who experience a diverse range of mental health issues within the Forensic Services. The post holder will provide care through a progressive patient-focused approach, within a therapeutic environment and underpinned by risk assessment and management that will maximise the individual's potential.
As a pivotal member of the team, you should possess good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), have a good understanding of risk assessment/management, current legislation and be able to lead and motivate others within the team. Forensic Acute is a dynamic environment and the ideal candidate should be motivated to encourage and support sustained and patient-focused environmental and cultural change.
The duties of this post require the successful candidate to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
