Role Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Control Room Operator to join our Security Operations Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for real‑time monitoring, incident management, and coordination of field resources, including drones and mobile patrols. You will play a critical role in protecting our clients’ premises and assets by maintaining situational awareness and executing rapid, informed responses. Working on a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, 12‑hour shifts, working a mixture of days and nights. Key Responsibilities CCTV Monitoring: Operate and monitor multiple CCTV systems for suspicious activity or incidents. Drone Operations: Deploy and pilot drones for surveillance, inspections, and incident verification (appropriate training and certification required). Alarm Response: Act as the first responder to alarms, including assessing situations via CCTV and dispatching appropriate resources. Premises Access Control: Remotely lock and unlock client sites, ensuring secure and documented entry and exit procedures. Vehicle Patrol Coordination: Oversee and coordinate mobile patrol units as part of routine or responsive duties. Incident Reporting: Record and elevate security incidents accurately using internal reporting systems. Call Handling: Manage incoming calls, providing prompt and professional responses to clients, staff, and emergency services. Engineer Dispatch: Coordinate and dispatch field engineers nationwide for maintenance, emergency callouts, or client support needs. Shift Handover: Ensure comprehensive handover briefings are provided between shifts for continuity of operations. Requirements The above lists are not exhaustive, and you are required to undertake such duties as may reasonably be requested within the scope of the position. All employees are required to act professionally, co‑operatively and flexibly in line with the requirements of the position. Valid UK Drone Pilot Certification (e.g., GVC or A2 CofC) or willingness to obtain, which will be fully funded by the company. Experience with CCTV systems and control room environments preferred. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies. IT proficiency (Microsoft Office, control software, reporting systems). Knowledge of security protocols and procedures. Valid UK driving licence (required for field support or mobile duties). Willingness to work 12‑hour shifts, both day and night, on a 4 on / 4 off rotation. SIA CCTV Licence (desirable).
