As an experienced Project Cost Consultant, you will deliver high-profile research, technology, and life science facilities for national and global clients.As part of our Cost Management team, you’ll handle projects ranging from global high-profile to small impactful, ensuring timely and budgeted delivery. Your expertise in cost management, planning, estimating, budgeting and managing costs will drive growth and smarter working.Role AccountabilitiesProvide professional Quantity Surveying and Cost Management services to high-profile clients working on science facilities across the UK & Europe with a focus on London, Oxford, and Cambridge. Work on projects from inception through to completion. Day-to-day activities include: cost estimates/feasibilities, benchmarking, procurement process, reviewing and agreeing contractor proposals, and contract management.You’ll be supported to develop your career within a collaborative team environment, and you’ll work as part of a multi-disciplinary team who are passionate about delivering an excellent service and positive outcomes for our clients.Qualifications & ExperienceFirst and foremost, you share our passion for improving the quality of life. You pride yourself for the part you play in transforming the world around you and understand the importance of teamwork. You are a technically capable with sound commercial knowledge and come to us with:MRICS Chartered Quantity Surveyor (or near attainment)A good understanding of key drivers of cost and valuePassionate about driving innovation in service and delivering exceptional resultsExperience working on complex construction projects, ideally within the Research, Technology and Life Science sectorExperience leading lower value projectsStrong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build good client relationshipsAbility to work on own initiativeSome experience with Digital Cost Management and CostX, 5D BIM and Benchmarking toolsWhy Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
