Financial Controller - Didcot (4 days on site) - £75,000 to £85,000We are pleased to be working a fast‑growing, profitable retail business generating around £50m in revenue, expanding globally and driving double‑digit like‑for‑like growth on the high street year on year.A bit more about the role...As Financial Controller, you will take ownership of core financial operations and controls, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidence in reporting across multiple legal entities. This is a hands‑on role in a high‑growth, fast‑paced environment, ideal for someone who thrives under pressure and wants to make a real impact.You will report initially to the Head of Finance and work closely with senior leadership. For the right person, there is a clear path to Head of Finance in the future.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all aspects of financial control, including:Management accounting, statutory reporting, and consolidationsCash management, AP/AR oversight, and balance sheet integrityTax compliance, transfer pricing, and audit coordinationImplement and optimise financial systems and controls, including NetSuite rolloutEnsure robust processes for multi‑entity accounting in a complex, international retail environmentProvide confidence in financial reporting to senior leadership and external stakeholdersMentor and develop the finance team as transactional processes evolveA bit about you...Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)Minimum 2-3 years as a Financial Controller in a reasonably complex businessExperience in consumer goods/retail and fast‑paced environmentsStrong technical knowledge of financial controls, statutory reporting, and taxProven ability to implement systems and drive process improvementsDetail‑oriented, stickler for compliance, and thrives under pressureLeadership qualities with potential to progress to Head of FinanceExcellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholdersWe are happy to provide application and/or accessibility support, please contact your Marks Sattin or Grafton consultant directly to discuss your needs.
