About The RoleWe are shaping infrastructure for a better tomorrow. EKFB brings together specialist expertise in design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high‑speed rail projects. We are currently recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Route‑wide Commercial team based in Milton Keynes.In this role you will be required to carry out tasks independently, lead a small group of commercial staff and handle periodical duties and one‑off tasks within tight deadlines as directed by the senior Commercial team. Your key responsibilities include:Preparing and agreeing variation accounts for main contract and sub‑contracts.Monitoring cost against targets and contract progress against accepted programmes and work plans in conjunction with other team disciplines.Providing input into change control procedures for extensions of time, delays and performance adjustment.Preparing and agreeing interim valuations, final valuations, final accounts and sub‑contract final accounts.Issuing certification and payment of sub‑contractors and providing contractual advice to management (ensuring compliance with contract and legal administration obligations, e.g. timely issue of relevant notices).QualificationsQualified with a Quantity Surveying degree or similar.Enrolled in, or seeking membership of, a relevant professional institution (CICES, RICS or similar).Experience at Quantity Surveyor level, displaying skill in delivering a positive commercial outcome for the project(s) with which you have been associated.The ability to listen, learn and take on board new concepts and carry out actions, whilst mentoring junior team members.You must hold a CSCS White, White/Yellow, Red – Experienced or Black – Manager card.You must hold a Full Driving License and have access to a vehicle.About UsEKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market‑leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall.
