There are no limits to where you can take your career.An opportunity has arisen for an Infrastructure Engineer to support and manage infrastructure services, systems, applications and hardware in line with GKN standards and industry best practices. The role involves troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, assisting front-line IT staff with complex infrastructure challenges, and ensuring effective documentation and communication of problems and risks to maintain compliance and timely resolution. This role offers a hybrid working pattern.ResponsibilitiesDeliver infrastructure services to agreed SLA requirementsTroubleshoot/resolve problems associated with the infrastructure environmentWork with hardware/software vendors to resolve technical support issuesCoordinate and work with global architects and other regional Data Center teams to ensure infrastructure and systems meet GKN Aerospace standards in regards to functionality, security, and maintainabilityDeploy industry best practice approaches and standardsProcure and replace hardware components when requiredActively monitor the system infrastructure to manage business systems and security risksActively work with automating the IT infrastructure deliveryWork with the following Key Processes: Event Management, Incident Management, Change Management, Request Management, Asset & Configuration ManagementWhat You’ll BringEssentialRelevant Degree or equivalent experienceIT infrastructure experienceAn ability to follow processesSelf-driven with a motivation to succeed and provide world class services to the businessRelies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsExperience working in a high availability, high demand environmentAble to work effectively in a virtual team environmentStrong documentation skillsGood communication skills in English and native language – both verbal and writtenDesirableTechnical certifications in Operating Systems, Microsoft Azure or equivalentTechnical certifications in PowerShell or other relevant scripting technologiesWhat We’ll OfferCompetitive salary dependent on experienceIndustry Leading Pension Scheme with employer contributions matched up to 8% on a 1:1.5 basisLife Assurance 8 x salary25 days holiday + bank holidaysFlexible working hours including the option to finish at 12 noon on a FridayIncome protectionShopping discountsCycle To Work SchemeEmployee Assistance ProgrammeVirtual GP Clinic for you and immediate familyA collaborative, dynamic working environmentAdditional informationA Great Place to work needs a Great Way of Working.
