About the role The Senior Therapeutic Case Manager delivers culturally grounded therapeutic leadership for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in VACCA’s foster care. They oversee complex caseloads and OOHC compliance, partner with the Healing Team to bolster carer support, and mentor colleagues while guiding audit preparation and reporting. About You Provide developmental and trauma‑informed casework for Aboriginal children in out‑of‑home care, ensuring their needs are met through regular visits, cultural guidance for carers, and facilitated access to family and support services. Use the Looking After Children framework to assess needs, maintain accurate electronic records, and prepare quarterly, court, and Best Interests Planning reports. Collaborate with the ACHT, Child Protection and S18 agencies to share critical information, uphold legislative and quality standards, and lead care teams in program delivery and audit readiness. Support ongoing program development, mentor colleagues, and contribute proactively to OH&S and agency compliance activities. Requirements Minimum of a completed Diploma of Community Services or relevant qualification in Social Worker or related disciplines. Extensive experience in case management, or related discipline is required. An ability to work flexible hours. Valid Police Check, a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence.
