Locum Consultant

Job Summary An opportunity has arisen for a fixed term Locum Consultant to join our Older People's Medicine department to cover maternity leave, provisionally from 1st March 2026 until 31st October. The post is to cover a general geriatric ward with 22 patients and to contribute to frailty sessions. Main Duties Daily consultant presence on the acute wards with daily MDT board rounds and review of new admissions and unwell patients and twice weekly ward rounds. Support a 7‑day acute frailty service, frailty virtual ward and weekly ward rounds of our community inpatients. No requirement to contribute to the GIM rota and no on‑call responsibility. Duties may also include teaching, lectures or workshops for other departments, nurses, GPs and others.
