Job Summary An opportunity for a Dietitian to deliver an evidence‑based dietetic service to paediatric patients and home enteral feeding within RCHT. Main Duties Nutritional assessment of paediatric patients (anthropometry, biochemistry, pharmacology and medical history). Calculate nutritional requirements and provide evidence‑based advice suitable for medical, social and cultural needs. Develop, monitor and review paediatric nutrition care plans against outcome measures. Create educational resources that are evidence‑based and user‑appropriate. Maintain accurate records of all assessments and interventions in line with RCHT policy and Health and Care Professions Council standards. Communicate with referrers and agencies, in writing or verbally, about patient care. Provide dietary information to staff and patients in a timely and empathetic manner. Assist in clinical supervision of student dietitians. Deliver education to health professionals and staff groups. Manage own caseload and time appropriately. Conduct self‑directed study appropriately. Contribute to departmental meetings, acting on outcomes. Support audit and clinical governance projects in line with departmental and multidisciplinary objectives. Experience working within multidisciplinary teams. Experience with children with complex needs (desirable). Post‑qualification experience in paediatric outpatient settings (desirable). Experience teaching groups (desirable). Skills & Knowledge Demonstrated best dietetic practice for a range of conditions. Effective communication with a wide range of people using differing media. Ability to work effectively within teams and independently where appropriate. Computer literate. Disposition / Attitude Keenness to share knowledge and training across all health care professionals. Flexibility to role requirements.
