An exciting opportunity has arisen for not one, but two jobs as Principal Clinical Technologists at two different sites within Hywel Dda University Health Board. The successful candidates would carry the full responsibility for leadership for the Clinical Engineering department, one at Bronglais General Hospital site in Aberystwyth and one based at Prince Philip Hospital site in Llanelli.The successful candidates will be responsible for the day to day activities of the Clinical Engineering function for their respective sites. Please view the job description for more details. The role would also involve ownership of specific projects that relate to medical devices. These may develop over time based on the successful applicant's skills and experiences and the needs of the department.Main duties of the jobReporting to the Head of Clinical Engineering, the successful candidate would be responsible for the management and oversight for the lifecycle of the medical device under the portfolio of the respective site (circa 30,000 devices across the Health Board).You will lead the team of Technologists, Apprentices, Administration staff and the Equipment Librarian resident at these sites and surrounding areas.
