An excellent opportunity hasarisen in North Devon for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our friendlyand experienced adult mental health inpatient team. We are looking for amotivated, passionate occupational therapist who strives to have a positiveimpact on the health and wellbeing of working aged adults with a Mental Healthcondition.The role is based on the 16bedded adult urgent care ward. You will be working in a friendly and supportiveenvironment, with a focus on providing the very best patient care in a localitycombining sea, moor, history and opportunity.Main duties of the jobWe are looking for anindividual who can demonstrate experience within the OT role, who has theability to work autonomously as well as part of a team, have sound decisionmaking skills and effective clinical reasoning.The successful candidatewill work creatively to develop the role and work with senior members of theteam on driving service development. The successful applicant will be requiredto demonstrate excellent assessment and interpersonal skills, supportingpatients and their families through shared decision making, to make informedchoices about their treatment and conditions.The successful applicantwill provide supervision for junior members of the team.
