Kenton Black are seeking a permanent Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their clients expanding team in Dundee. The client, a leading civil engineering and building contractor operating across Scotland, is looking to appoint a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor. This strategic role offers a hands‑on opportunity to oversee the commercial success of varied and complex projects, delivering work that shapes communities across the region. Key Responsibilities Assist in the financial management and reporting on major civil and commercial contracts Prepare and assess bills of quantities, valuations, and subcontract agreements Monitor and manage cost control procedures, ensuring profitability targets are met Provide commercial support and guidance to operational teams throughout the project lifecycle Negotiate contracts and liaise confidently with clients, subcontractors, and consultants What You Bring Demonstrable experience within a civil engineering or main contracting environment Robust understanding of NEC and JCT contracts and their practical application Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and commercial judgment Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent professional qualification Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proactive and collaborative mindset Why This Role?
