OverviewProject Commercial Manager - Water at AECOMAECOM is a global infrastructure consultant delivering projects across water, transport, and environment. Join to apply for the Project Commercial Manager - Water role in the Water business line.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate: Assist PMs, Project Directors, and Lead Verifiers in the commercial management of projects to ensure successful delivery.Provide Expertise: Apply contract and risk management knowledge to enhance project performance, including contract communications, change management, programme, delay damages, key contract dates, and insurances. Carry out detailed analyses of challenged projects and report findings from commercial and finance compliance perspectives.Ensure Quality: Use contract administration platforms (CEMAR, Asite) to oversee client communications and instructions. Manage changes with focus on commercial implications and risk/opportunity.Oversee: Participate in project reviews and commercial discussions with clients and suppliers; ensure execution of action items. Oversee subcontract documentation to maintain a back-to-back position.Mentor: Coach technical staff to heighten commercial awareness.Deliver: Reduce disallowed costs and manage expenditures from AECOM and its subcontractors/subconsultants/supply chain. Contribute to Go/No-Go documents for new or major changes to projects.Scope of projects: Water Treatment Plants; Wastewater Treatment Plants; Flood Risk Management; Water Supply Systems; Hydraulic Modelling; River and Coastal Engineering; Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS); Desalination Projects; Water Resource Management; Irrigation Systems.QualificationsExperience in a legal, commercial or financial role within the engineering or construction industry.Degree (or equivalent) in finance, law, quantity surveying, commercial management or engineering; postgraduate business qualifications are advantageous.Knowledge of contract law and infrastructure project contracts (e.g., NEC3, NEC4, government frameworks, design & build).Experience in project, commercial and risk management, including client-facing roles.Experience communicating with clients, subcontractors and subconsultants to resolve commercial performance concerns/risks.About AECOMAECOM is the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, delivering services across the project lifecycle.
