We work on projects at all scales within town, semi‑rural and rural contexts, across a variety of sectors that include residential, historic sites and estates, renewable energy, infrastructure and mixed‑use commercial developments. We have an exciting opportunity for you to lead and grow a national arboricultural consultancy team in either our London, Norwich or Cambridge office. Arboriculture is an in‑demand and ever‑growing offering for Lanpro, complementing our strong planning and design capability. The role will suit you if you are excited by leadership, autonomy and ownership. Key Requirements For The Role Co‑ordinate and undertake arboricultural surveys and prepare reports and plans in line with BS5837:2012 guidance (from pre‑planning feasibility studies to construction stage support and everything in between). Deliver comprehensive Tree Survey Reports, Tree Constraints Plans, Arboricultural Impact Assessments, Arboricultural Method Statements and Tree Protection Plans. Undertake arboricultural monitoring and supervision of works on active construction sites. Undertake tree risk surveys and reports. Assess and produce veteran tree and woodland management strategies. Prepare quotations for arboricultural services. Act as technical specialist to support clients and internal teams with pragmatic solutions to complex issues. Maintain and build strong working relationships with existing and new clients. Assist with the development of new arboricultural specialisms for the company. A minimum of 2 years professional experience in a similar advisory role, with a proven track record of successful project management and delivery. An Arboricultural Qualification to Level 4 or higher with demonstrable professional experience. Demonstrable experience in writing high quality reports with attention to detail. A good working knowledge and ability to prepare scaled plans within AutoCAD and QGIS. Proficient in tree surveying to BS5837:2012 and tree risk assessment with the use of relevant software; e.g., Axiscape/ArborCAD, ESRI GIS mapping etc. Sound knowledge of tree species identification, morphology, management, planning, legislation and best practice. Sound knowledge of pest and disease diagnostics, control measures and mitigation. Professional membership of an arboricultural/forestry industry body (or ability to obtain this). Ability to apply a proportional and pragmatic approach to technical challenges. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce concise reports to high standards. Able and willing to travel to sites and can work autonomously in varied weather conditions. Full UK driving licence.
