About the Role We are seeking a proactive and experienced Trust Fundraising Manager to lead and grow our trust and foundation income. This pivotal role will secure small (under £10,000) and medium (£10,000–£50,000) grants, manage reporting and monitoring processes, and cultivate relationships with funders and stakeholders. The role works closely with the Deputy Director of Fundraising, contributes to strategic development, and fosters income growth. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a trust fundraising strategy to meet income targets. Research, write, and submit compelling funding applications to trusts and foundations. Manage a portfolio of existing funders, ensuring timely reporting and stewardship. Monitor grant performance and ensure compliance with funder requirements. Collaborate with programme and finance teams to gather project information and impact data. Maintain accurate records using the organisation's CRM/database (Access Evo CRM). Represent the organisation externally, building relationships with funders and partners. Work with the Deputy Director of Fundraising to identify new funding opportunities and contribute to strategic planning. Contribute to cross-team initiatives and organisational development. Person Specification Essential Proven experience in trust fundraising (or commercial equivalent), with a track record of securing grants. Strong bid writing skills with the ability to tailor proposals to different audiences. Excellent project management and organisational skills. Ability to analyse financial and impact data for reporting purposes. Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel nationally and attend in-person meetings/events quarterly. Desirable Experience managing grants in the £10K–£50K range. Familiarity with CRM (Access Evo CRM) systems and fundraising databases. Experience in a commercial bid writing or project management role outside the charity sector. Working Environment Flexible working arrangements: remote, office-based, or hybrid. Minimum of two back-to-back office days per quarter. Occasional national travel required.
