Role Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking and talented person to join our Nuclear Medicine team in Wythenshawe Hospital, part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT). This is an exciting opportunity for a technologist or radiographer wanting to expand their horizons and branch out into a leadership role. You will join our friendly, collaborative and multidisciplinary team, providing a service to referrers from across the region. Key Requirements Experience of a wide range of Nuclear Medicine procedures. Desire to manage and develop an existing service. Aptitude for excellent patient‑focused care. Ability to lead a team of radiographers and technologists at the Wythenshawe site. Strong communication skills when interacting with counterparts at North Manchester and the Oxford Road campus. Responsibilities Act as line manager and ensure equipment is utilized fully, allowing patients to be scanned in a timely manner in accordance with urgency. Report issues to the cross‑site senior team and engage in matters such as cross‑site harmonisation of imaging protocols. Lead on the implementation of new practices and procedures on the Wythenshawe site, suggesting changes to practice where necessary. Work closely with the other Nuclear Medicine site leads within the trust, the clinical lead and the Nuclear Medicine team lead to provide a safe, efficient and effective service. Deliver an excellent quality service, implementing changes for service improvement in a timely and well‑organised manner.
