Dedicated Behaviour Learning Support Assistants

Principal Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join a range of primary and secondary schools across London. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting children and young people with social, emotional, and behavioural needs (SEMH).
As a Behaviour LSA, you will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to help pupils manage their behaviour, re-engage with learning, and build confidence and resilience. You’ll provide one-to-one and small-group support, implementing behaviour strategies, de-escalation techniques, and positive reinforcement approaches to promote emotional regulation and positive classroom behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs in and out of the classroom.
Implement individual behaviour plans and strategies under the guidance of the SENCO or class teacher.
Assist with learning activities, helping pupils to achieve their academic and social potential.
Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
Record and report on progress, incidents, and pupil engagement
Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support consistent behaviour management
What you MUST demonstrate:
Right to work in the UK
Experience supporting pupils with special educational needs and behavioural challenges
Patience, empathy, composure, and diligence
Flexibility and adaptability
Recent enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Overseas police clearance if lived abroad for 6+ months in last 5 years
Based in London or within a commutable distance
Pay and benefits:
£100–£120 per day
Potential higher rates for ongoing roles, aligned with school pay scales
