We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 4 Dietetic Assistant to join our Adult Nutrition and Dietetic Nutrition Support Team at Edgware Community Hospital. You’ll play a key role in supporting our Home Enteral Feeding Team (HEFT) and Nutrition Support service, working alongside specialist dietitians to deliver high-quality care to adults who require tube feeding or specialist nutritional support. This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys both hands‑on patient interaction and behind‑the‑scenes support, combining clinical, administrative, and community‑based work. Responsibilities Support dietitians in providing nutritional care to patients receiving tube feeding or oral nutrition support. Manage your own delegated caseload of community patients, including booking and conducting weight monitoring visits and group sessions. Assist with patient assessments, record keeping, and accurate data entry on clinical systems. Liaise with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals, ensuring clear and compassionate communication. Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold data protection standards. Organise and prioritise your workload independently, seeking guidance where appropriate. Contribute to service improvement and development within the Nutrition and Dietetic team. About You Caring, reliable, and genuinely passionate about supporting patient wellbeing. Has previous experience in nutrition support, or background knowledge or training in a nutrition related subject would be advantageous. Organised and confident working independently or as part of a team. Have good organisational and time management skills. A good communicator with empathy and sensitivity when dealing with patients. IT literate and comfortable using digital systems for data entry and communication.
