The position offers a unique chance to work as the sole Material Buyer reporting into the Head of Commercial, allowing for significant personal and professional development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in procurement, specifically within the residential construction sector. Key responsibilities include:

– Sourcing and purchasing materials required for residential development projects.
– Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the best possible terms.
– Monitoring market trends and adjusting procurement strategies accordingly.
– Collaborating closely with Site Managers, Surveyors and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials.
– Material scheduling and take offs
– Solid construction drawing knowledge
– Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising on quality.
