🎠Volunteer Finance Director Location: Joseph Rowntree Theatre, York🕒 Type: Volunteer | Approx. 30 hours/month What you’ll be doing: This is a key role that helps keep our theatre financially healthy. You’ll be: Processing invoices and charges to hirers Preparing budgets and financial reports for the board Reconciling accounts using Xero and our ticketing system Managing bar and front-of-house income (cash and card) Overseeing VAT and Performing Rights payments You’ll be fully supported and working alongside others—it’s very much a team effort. What we’re looking for: We’re looking for someone with a solid financial background who’s ready to bring their expertise to a vibrant community setting. Essential: A recognised finance or accounting qualification (e.g. AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent) Experience in finance, bookkeeping, or accounting Organised, reliable, and attentive to detail Willing to work collaboratively and get involved in theatre life Able to commit around 30 hours a month, including trustee meetings and show nights Desirable: Experience using Xero or similar accounting software Previous charity or trustee experience Why get involved?
