About the Role Strategic Infrastructure delivers major electricity transmission projects across England and Wales, connecting clean, low‑carbon energy to the grid under Ofgem’s Accelerated Strategic Transmission Investment (ASTI) framework. As a Graduate Associate Project Manager you will support the delivery of 17 critical new projects that support the UK Government’s ambition to connect 50 GW of offshore wind by 2030, as well as early‑stage development of future strategic infrastructure as requested by Ofgem. Working alongside experienced Project Managers you’ll gain hands‑on experience across engineering, procurement, commercial and construction activities. You will help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards of quality, time and cost. Throughout the project lifecycle you will develop commercial, contractual and financial management skills, contribute to innovative and compliant design solutions, support quality assurance processes and help maintain our Quality Management System. What You’ll Gain 18‑month graduate programme with tailored development pathways in leadership, business and technical skills. In‑person and virtual development sessions, 1:1 coaching and mentorship from previous cohort members. Three 6‑month placements across the UK to deepen your knowledge and broaden your understanding of our business and industry. Requirements Minimum 2:2 in a Project Management or closely related degree, or being in the final year of such a degree. Valid UK driving licence or completion of the theory test (with practical test booked) to enable travel to project sites. Willingness to travel regularly within the role and throughout the graduate development programme. Strong enthusiasm to apply your knowledge in a real‑world setting. Location National Grid House, Warwick, Warwickshire. Hybrid working is offered where possible. The role involves regular travel to office locations and substations within the region and occasional nationwide travel may be required. Benefits £2,000 bonus, once joined and started on programme 26 days holiday £2,400 payment on successful completion of the programme Up to £200 per month accommodation allowance as you move around the business, and additional annual leave for when you move between placements plus assistance with moving personal belongings Other benefits include pension and share‑option schemes, Adaptable Benefits, close mentorship and regular feedback & volunteering opportunities. Compensation Starting salary of £36,640. Assessment Centre Assessment centres will be held between November and April 2026.
